Why I need SEO and What is SEO?

Search Engine Search engines are very power set of computers |
Search engines are very power set of computers that perform four specific tasks:
- surf the Internet looking at the content on websites,
- building an library of what they find,
- using a complex equation (algorithm), search engine calculates a websites which relevancy and then the rank based on each keyword phrase typed into the search function,
- and then to present these results and highlighting the words of relevance.
It's like being at the party, and gathering as much information about each individual as they give out, organizing that information in such a manner that when we would like to recall something the result/answer is relevant.
But first, what is SEO (also known as Search Engine Optimization)?
Search Engine Optimization is modifying the website so content can be easily found by a website visitor and the search engine, that the search engine user gets only the more relevant information. Therefore, making sure that each web page is described and titled properly. A title of "Welcome" does not say much to the search engine on what's about to appear on the web page. And yes, we've seen one just recently. Just Google "Untitled Document" and Google find over 80 Millinon web pages. (Few companies picked up on this, and even named their company after it.)
We break it down SEO this way:
- Create a startegy on what keywords of phrases that you would like for web users to find you
- Have the content to back up this information
- Notify the search engines that you have a website, and any document they require
- Create a section or page geared specifically towards the phrases
- Notify your friends with website that you have this great content, and ask them to link to you
- Modify or correct your site achitecture when possible
- Study your analytics to see which pages people find you and which page they leave you on
